Welcome to Perfect View Hideaway, a luxury, chalet-style vacation cabin with hot tub, pool table, and expansive decking overlooking endless views. With a full bedroom and bathroom on all 3 floors, this cabin sleeps 8 comfortably. New owners have installed 5x upgraded Wifi, updated the décor, added a wood firepit, and created a lovely outdoor dining space. Perfect View Hideaway offers great views with tons of covered and uncovered decks. This cabin has upscale furnishings and charm throughout. Perfect View Hideaway has 2 full living/great rooms, both with gas fireplaces. It's pet friendly, too. Limit 2 dogs not more than 40 lbs.

Wake up to stunning mountain sunrises in the huge master level loft, which has a king-sized bed with an excellent orthopedic mattress, sitting area, full ensuite bathroom with dual sinks, and sweeping views. Watch the magical fog rise up from nearby Lake Hiwassee – the very thing that earned the Great Smoky Mountains their name.

Main floor provides excellent living space with fully equipped cook’s kitchen, living room, dining room, and gas fireplace. There is also a very comfortable queen bedroom and another full bathroom on this floor. Step outside to a wide, open-air deck with plenty of comfortable seating and a cozy gas firepit overlooking the beautiful mountain views. Property sits adjacent to National Forest Service land for privacy. Just a few steps away on the side of the wraparound deck, lies the fantastic outdoor dining area. It has a gas grill, seating for 6-8, and wonderful views of the forest, mountains and wildlife.

The terrace is where all the fun happens!! Play pool and sit at the well-equipped bar or grab some popcorn and watch a movie. Enjoy yet another gas fireplace indoors, or go outdoors and roast some marshmallows over the open wood fire pit for s’mores. There is another queen bedroom and full bathroom on this floor as well as a queen sleeper sofa. When the kids go to bed after a day of adventure, you can pour yourself a glass of wine and slip into the hot tub on the outdoor deck.

Unlike many mountain-view homes, the road to get to Perfect View Hideaway is easily accessible and well maintained.
Located in Murphy, NC, this mountain getaway is close to hiking, biking, waterfalls, white water rafting, ziplining, horseback riding, boating, and fishing. A short drive into town, and you will find everything from Wal-Mart and Harrah’s Casino to antiques stores and authentic Carolina BBQ. There are quite a few hiking paths around the property and yoga mats to limber up with. Or, you can just sit back, relax and enjoy the moonlight and mountain air.

  We rented this cabin for a new years getaway and it was wonderful. Every room was decorated for Christmas even the bathrooms.The views from the Loft bedroom were spectacular and I loved how there was no tv in the living room and only in the loft and downstairs game room.We actually watched our kids unplug for a few days!The Game room was great place to watch foot ball and shoot some pool and of course the Hot Tub was great!.Linens being provided was a big plus.The town is about 30 minute drive with ample stores and dining.The only issue we had was the gas grill had seen better days so we had to switch our dinner plans a little.The management company was attentive but not intrusive with just the right amount of "checking in".We would definitely stay here again.

  This house will meet and exceed all expectations. My group of 6 spent 5 nights here and everyone left the house impressed, relaxed, and with good memories. This place was scheduled on a whim due to the glowing reviews and all of the reviews are true. Every room is stocked with supplies, cleaned to the point you wonder if you're the first to stay, and provide an inclusive feeling while still maintaining privacy. Hot tub and pool table are amazing. Kitchen is loaded; no utensil or cooking dish needs to be brought from home. Movies supplied with a popcorn maker and different seasonings available. Truly a top tier vacation home. The property managers also contribute to an easy and effortless stay. Prompt replies and everything on schedule.

It was very peaceful and quiet with no neighbors right on top of us, which was exactly what we were hoping for. The only small issue we had was that the internet kept freezing so when we went to watch a movie a couple of nighs, we never quite got to finish because the connection was so weak and would disconnect.   Tara was very easy to work with. The property was clean but there were some deficiencies such as broken pool cues and a missing ceiling fan remote so the upstairs bedroom was very hot while the basement bedroom was very cold. All of this was mentioned to the property manager and Tara apologized and said she would take care of it for future guests.
  
  It was very quiet which was nice and everyone had a great time in spite of what was missing. Would give it another shot if we have an opportunity to return to Murphy NC.

  Overall this property was amazing! All the amenities we wanted and then some! Great nearby places to hike. Pool table, hot tub, fire pits, and beautiful views! We we will DEFINITELY be coming back!
  The things I recommend to the owners would be a deep cleaning. Under furniture, carpet shampoo, a bit of time spent decluttering and cleaning out kitchen cabinets and pantry. Also, a set of Tupperware for those of us who cook a lot! Dryer may need replacing soon, you gotta run 2-3 times for a small load to dry. All of these things however were very trivial for us! I would recommend this place to anyone looking a relaxing staycation!

  The managers are professional and helpful from reservation to checkout. This home is very clean and comfortable and the beds are hands down the most comfortable we’ve ever slept in. There’s a nice view from the main floor deck and from the master loft, as well as from the main living area. The amenities are many with an outdoor fire pit next to a large spa, a gas fire place on the the main deck and a pool table in the family room with large flat screen TV. The home is nicely laid out for three couples with a king and two queens in bedrooms on each of the three levels with accompanying bathrooms. The wi-if is slow and required frequent re-booting, and the kitchen stoneware is aging and chipped but otherwise, no complaints and we would stay here again. And as far as the driveway, our stay was during Tropical Storm Zeta and we did not have any trouble in either wet or dry weather in a rear wheel drive car.

  This cabin has it all. We were looking for a place that we could spend an entire week together without leaving the premises; and we found it! Gorgeous views are prevalent on both rainy and sunny days. The growth from the forest and surrounding trees have grown quite a bit since the taking of the pictures posted. The pictures need to updated online for all amenities, as well. The firepit next to the hot tub was an awesome combo. They have a gas fireplace outside on the top deck overlooking the sunrise. It's a perfect place to start and end the day! The man cave is a great place to relax and enjoy the game. However, the TV in the basement is a little dated and does not support HDMI input due to previous damage. The TV upstairs does work perfectly. The billiards table was a superb touch and is of high quality. The balls and cues showed much wear, but were able to still be used for enjoyment. The king bed was super comfy and I'd recommend the main level shower for best balance of shower head pressure. There was no cell service at the cabin, but Tara does provide a landline for use and wifi and satellite is available. We wanted to 'unplug' this week, so it was kind of nice, anyways! Tara was very kind and wanted us to reach out to her for any issue! We highly recommend this cabin and it was a treasure of a destination!

  We really enjoyed our stay. The location was as promised and the weather was beautiful. Great Mountain properties did their very best to ensure everything was as described and Tara was incredibly responsive to any and all inquiries. The cabin layout is beautiful and allows everyone their privacy as there is a bedroom on each floor. The decks, firepit and hot tub were amazing. The only caveats were the small mountain scorpions that crept into the basement floor at night to keep warm and the fact that prior guests may have not treated the property with respect as there were stains in The loft carpet. However, Tara assured me these stains had been cleaned and the Scorpions were incredibly easy to evict and caused no harm. Overall, a very nice stay.

    I'm glad that you enjoyed the cabin. The views are wonderful and it's a great place to relax and get away from it all. The things you mentioned above are just the start to many things that our housekeeping does. When 8 people stay at a cabin, use all the beds and towels it takes hours and hours to wash all of the laundry. Our staff completely cleans and sanitizes each and every bathroom, cleans the entire kitchen, makes the beds, folds the laundry, cleans all of the floors, cleans the hot tub, hauls the many bags of trash and that's just some of the stuff. For that cabin it can take the entire 6 hours to turn that house over for the next guests.

  We walked in and the cabin was even bigger than we were expecting! It was very clean and well stocked. We loved the 2 decks which both offered great views. We spent a lot of time on the swing, grilled food, played pool and sat in the hot tub. The Wi-Fi was sketchy, but that was due to the location and summer storms. We went horseback riding in Georgia and white water rafting in Tennessee - both within about a 40 minute drive. We ate at the local BBQ place - yum! and had breakfast at "the hole in the wall" in Blairsville GA where we found lots of great local shops.

  Having read other reviews, we almost backed out as we were concerned about the heavy flooding in Murphy following Alberto. We were so glad we didn't! We did opt to take our 4-wheel drive and had no trouble getting up there. The cabin's perfect location provides a sense of seclusion without any qualms about being isolated and the view is absolutely wonderful. We even saw a deer!
  
  The cabin is beautiful inside, just like the pictures, and offers plenty of room for all, hot tub & pool table...I will say that perhaps because it is so beautifully decorated, one can't help but expect a well-appointed kitchen and decent grill. We made do in the kitchen, but the gas grill really needs to be replaced as it is rusted out to the point it cooks very unevenly. This is a biggie for us as we cooked all of our meals and would be a deal breaker should I try to convince my husband to book again. By the way, bring EVERYTHING with you. There were coffee filters there, but everything else you will need to bring. There is an Ingles and one of the nicest Walmarts I have ever experienced in Murphy, but both are close to 30 minutes away.
  
  This is the ideal mountain vacation location and offers a variety of activities from rafting, gambling, attending mountain fairs, and taking scenic drives to Cades Cove and nearby waterfalls.
  
  We had to leave a day earlier than planned and never received a response to our message to Tara in that regard nor have we received a reply to our subsequent email inquiring about the disposition of our security deposit.

  Perfect View Hideaway was absolutely Beautiful! The Master Bedroom was a large loft on a third floor with a bathroom and a comfy sitting chair( great for Readiing) and a tv( which has Roku set up). The bed is big & very comfortable but does squeak some when getting in & out. It's on a higher "frame", so if you are short like me ( 5'3) plan on having to practically jump into bed. The View is Breathtaking especially in the Morning..
  The main floor where you first walk in has a dining table for 4 , a kitchen with bar seating for another 3 people. Kitchen has a good amount of dishes, pots/pans etc for your use.( a small closet with some pantry space for food was located behind kitchen before bathroom) This is where a queen bedroom and main floor bath was. The main floor also has a couch & chair w/ ottoman in a living room setting with a gas fireplace. Beautiful picture Windows that have the most Amazing views, Which you can enjoy from their wraparound porch. The porch has 2 wooden rocking chairs( which could use outdoor seat padding to help with comfort) & a small side table in between to put your phone, coffee, book or whatever on as you sit & listen to the nature sounds & just feel the peace it gives to breath fresh air. The downstairs "basement" was a family space with a couch, 2 recliner chairs, tv , pool table and a lil bar area. Downstairs also had the laundry area with a queen bedroom & bathroom. Basement also had doors leading out to another deck with a wooden swing and a Hot Tub that worked great. A small fire pit was in yard a little ways from bottom deck but no place to sit, so bring camping chairs for that.
  There's also a small" older" grill there that works( but could use a good cleaning or even be replaced) it was adequate for our family of 4 to grill some chicken one night.
  Tara from property management was Excellent to work with. We have been to many cabins & she was the most professional, quick to respond & kind.

  This cabin was fantastic and the view is definitely perfect. Even though there are a couple cabins near by the trees surrounding this cabin offered great privacy. The property was very clean and well maintained. The only little thing was having to clean out the hot tub. There were small white almost paper like pieces floating in the water. Easy fix. The three levels worked great for everyone. The beds were all super comfortable. The kitchen is well stocked with pots, pans, dishes, and spices. One thing I have to mention is the road up to the cabin. It can be a little rough. It had rained recently making things rather muddy. Also, there were some decent size "valleys" running through the road. Not complaining at all, just be aware. The road could be difficult to handle if there is snow and you're in a small car. Had to call the manager a few times and got instant help. Over all this was a wonderful little getaway.

  Our family had a wonderful time at this property. I was very impressed with the attention to detail - every nook and cranny seems to be precisely styled. (I'm a designer so I truly appreciated this attention to detail) The home is beautiful and well maintained - AMAZING VIEW from the top and bottom balcony. Plenty of seats for people; my group was 6 people and a baby and it never felt overcrowded and 'tight'. A grill is included on the deck so we were able to easily cookout, get in the hot tub, and enjoy the stars (at night of course). The only thing I would recommend is if you're from a city or aren't used to such inclination, take some nausea medication beforehand. Our family had a bit of an issue adjusting to the height and we had some dizziness and nausea. Other than that, such a fun place to stay. Very close to downtown also, definitely be sure to check out some of the local shops. WE WILL BE STAYING AGAIN!

  We stayed mid October and had a wonderful experience. It was just my husband and I, and our pup! We were looking for a place to unwind, although it is hard for us to sit still. We had plenty to do every day, while still enjoying and relaxing. The house is beautiful and well maintained. We were a little disappointed in the fire pit area, as it is difficult to sit in the area but still enjoyed nightly fires. The view from the master is out of this world - I truly enjoyed waking up every morning and watching the sunrise. We did take daily hikes and enjoyed the path off the house which lead to the road down below for a nice daily walk. We did venture off the property daily to find some type of hike/adventure to do. The surrounding areas are all very nice. We had all the cooking items we needed and the grill was sufficient for the 2 of us. I used the hot tub once, which was very nice. The house was spotless. Making the reservation was painless and simple (I did it all online). The management communicated easily. The road to get there is an adventure, but of no fault of the management company or home owners. It is a wild ride & the pup wasn't too sure what to think, but finally got used to it by day 3. The driveway is steep, but our Jeep made it up just fine! if we took the motorcycles, that would have been a different story - I would not recommend that on bikes. We really enjoyed our secluded stay and would go back!

  Perfect View Hideaway was the perfect view for the solar eclipse. The cabin had plenty of space for six adults. The property was so clean and comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked with all of the utensils and cookware that we needed. It was too hot to use the hot tub but it looked very clean and inviting. We enjoyed sitting on the deck at night, listening to the tree frogs, crickets and coyotes. We had an issue with a smoke detector battery beeping and management was there within the hour to replace the battery. Yes the road was rough but you're in the mountains so we were not put off by its condition. It would have been nice to have a dvd player in the lower level where there was room for the six of us to watch a movie. We would love to visit again.

  We spent 1 week at the Perfect View cabin. It's a very secluded and quiet property. The travel in on the tight and winding road was a little unexpected, but once you get in the cabin and stand on balcony-nothing else matters! The cabin came properly furnished and stocked with much of the things you would need. The views from the 3rd floor master loft are breathtaking...words don't do it justice! We wanted to hike but given how far out there we were and having two little kids, we couldn't get comfortable hiking out without a proper trail or knowledge of the area. Seeing as how the terrain in that area can change so quickly, we played it safe. The boys loved the area and the cabin. We had a great time with campfires, smores and evenings in the hot tub under an open starry sky! The only negative I had an issue with was wifi internet-yes I know it's seems trite to complain about that, but I needed good connection so I can keep tabs on my business, and that was the only real struggle we had. The wifi was very weak and spotty. We had a great time renting a boat at Shooks Marina, going to the Georgia Mountain fair near Hiawasse, we were a short drive to blue ridge and even ventured to Bald River falls and twice to McCaysville for tubing! If you want secluded and quiet and removed...this cabin is perfect for that!!!!!

  Our weeklong vacation stay at the cabin was most delightful. The cabin was spotless and very inviting. The bedrooms on the three floors lent themselves very nicely with our family (there were six of us. The view from the cabin was very amazing with a full moon occurring during the week. The hot tub was used by almost everyone and eased aching muscles after a day of tubing on a nearby lake. Hummingbirds were daily visitors to the bird feeder. No bears this time. Other people had commented that the driveway was difficult to get up but we had no troubles. If you want seclusion, this is the place. It takes almost 25 minutes to get down to the main road. Shopping is a little difficult with the closest grocery store or Wal-Mart a good distance away. Load up on groceries and essentials before you proceed to the cabin.

  This property was exactly as described on the website. Beautiful, with everything you need to be comfortable. Overall, it is well maintained; however, it is located a bit out of the way - at least a 20-25 minute drive to the closest store. Go to the store and pickup food and supplies prior to going to the cabin - while there, get plenty of trash bags and paper towels, . If you drink coffee, be sure to get the "cone" style coffee filters for the coffee pot - nothing else will work without causing grounds to be in the coffee pot! We received good customer service from the property managers while making our reservations. I would most definitely recommend this cabin to anyone interested in getting away and simply "nesting" for a while. The following activities while at this property were fabulous: sitting on the top deck looking at the distant mountains while sipping coffee, relaxing in the spacious hot tub, playing pool, and taking walks in the woods. Fantastic!

  This was our family's first time experiencing the mountains and what's more, staying in a cabin. I'm so glad we were able to see the pictures and read the reviews from past guests. This cabin was exactly as was advertised - my family was completely blown away at how wonderful our stay was. Everything was exactly as pictured, nothing lacking - so clean, spacious, very well decorated and completely a modern feel in a mountainside setting. The surroundings were so beautiful and serene. We all had our own space to relax and chill - the kids had their video games, wi-fi, cable and pool table - and the adults had great spaces for good conversations. Definitely recommend! Only one comment about the driveway - while it was fine going up and down, since it was not paved, the gravelly and muddy mix made it a bit slippery at times, especially when it rained (which it unfortunately did each day we were there). Suggest the owners to think about paving/asphalt like some of the other neighboring properties? If you have good tires though, you'll be fine...but can be a little overwhelming and nerve-racking to climb such a steep, slippery stony driveway if you're not used to the area and steep mountainsides :) BUT OVERALL...despite that - we LOVED IT!!!!!

The hot tub and fire pit were great. Didn't use the man cave much because it was cold. We happened to find the space heaters on our last day, and those helped a lot! Wi-fi was great, altho very little cell service. Again, not an issue if you are trying to get away from it all! Views were tremendous!! Tara was extremely easy to work with. My only suggestions would be....let people know the driveway is steep and gravel. We had no trouble, but it would have been nice to have known in advance. Make a note about the heaters in the basement. DEFINITELY a wonderful cabin and we would stay here again!!

Between the hot tub, pool table, and overall beautiful atmosphere there was nothing negative that I could say about this house. We arrived and were stunned at how well decorated the house was.   This cabin is fabulous! It was clean and very well appointed. It was so nice that even the ice maker was full when we got there. Sometimes it's the little things that make such a good experience! My husband and I celebrated our anniversary weekend here. Obviously, it's more cabin than two people need, but we loved everything about it. It would be perfect with a group or bigger family. The hot tub was wonderful, especially while enjoying the first snow of the season. The pool table was fun and the view was lovely. There is even a little trail just off the property if you don't feel like driving. My only suggestion might be to have the grill on the same level as the kitchen, but there may be a perfectly good reason it is downstairs. Either way, I hope to return soon!

  Our first time in a Cabin in the woods was amazing. Secluded enough to feel like you escaped from it all but still close enough to little city of Murphy to grab food and a Starbucks. The hot tub was broken which made the kids very sad but the rental company gave us a little refund because of this. We let the rental company book our White water rafting and Zip line trips and it was the best time ever. We have been coming to NC to zip and raft for over 10 years and this time around both activities surpassed any in the past.

  I would say overall the place was great, really hard to find for the first time in the dark, knowing the lock box was on the porch post rather than the door would have helped to validate that this was the right house. Only two negative comments,the AC was really undersized, and it was masters weekend and the DISH channels were really limited, not golf channel.

    I am happy to hear that you think this place is great as we do as well. There is a large sign at the entrance to the property that verifies that you are at the correct location along with the lockbox being located near the front door (I think the first time you tried to access through the basement). Our maps are extremely accurate down to 1/10 of a mile, as long as you follow it instead of the GPS systems it will take you straight to the cabin. The A/C unit has be replaced with a brand new system.
