Bear's Den

Mountain View Cabin with Community Hiwassee River Access. This cabin is located only 15 minutes to town and the road is paved the entire way. Pet Friendly and wifi access, Bear’s Den is a beautiful cabin offering 3 bedrooms (1 king, 2 queen, 4 twins) sleeper sofa with 3 bathrooms. Dog friendly offering a large amount of decking with a gate for your pup to run around and enjoy. A side screen in porch allows for great outdoor dining or that morning cup of coffee, the sunrises are amazing.

The main level living hosts a living room where you will spend your days gazing out all the glass windows. Floor to ceiling stack stone gas fireplace has a brand new smart flat screen tv with surround sound. New leather couch (pull out queen sofa) and reclining chair will have you curled up for hours with a great book. Board games for fun with the family on the gorgeous wood dining room table. The kitchen has all the modern amenities you are looking for including a regular coffee pot, Keruig and a large air fryer. Brand new grill on the screened in porch. On the same level you have a bedroom with a queen size bed and a full bath. Laundry facilities with a full size washer and dryer. The loft have a king size bed with amazing view to wake up to. Large screen tv and a full bath completes this level on the home. Terrace level has another living space with a couch, large screen tv, bar and sit down arcade table. Down the hall is another bedroom with 2 sets of twin bunks which will allow sleeping for 4 and a bonus room with an additional queen along with another full size bathroom (Pictures coming soon)

The property surrounding the cabin has plenty of room to roam and the kids can entertain themself running around the cabin. There is a fire pit and chairs available to enjoy some time by the fire.

Located in the Highland Creek subdivision, the community is all paved and has an outdoor area with a large pavilion on the Hiwassee River. If you want to fish, please be sure to get a permit.

The property manager was easy to reach and the house was decorated for Christmas. This house is great for a large family or groups traveling together. I will definitely return!

  Bears Den was the perfect house for four girlfriends taking classes at John C. Campbell Folk School. The house has beautiful views and is located in a. very friendly neighborhood. It is very well equipped and comfortable. We will definitely be back!

  Overall a very positive experience. Only drawbacks were roads in the neighborhood are basically 1 lane causing issues passing cars coming the other direction; and the TV in the living area's remote sound didn't work; TV blaring and nowhere on TV or remote to adjust or even mute. Ended up being a benefit since we played board game and found a very good diet book to replace TV.

  We were looking for a place to get away and relax. We booked for 5 nights. Murphy is very close by and surprised us with the food (in a good way). Located on a ridge, the cabin gave us a much needed chance to relax, unwind, and spend time with each other. The cabin was clean and the layout was good. There were various games on the shelves although we brought our own. Internet was easy to connect to. There were deer and rabbits about. The management was extremely responsive in answering our questions. We enjoyed our stay and appreciated the chance to recharge from the happenings of the past year.

  We had such a relaxing time staying at the Bear’s Den! The cabin is stunning! So many breathtaking views from the big windows in the cabin! Watched the rabbits and deer roam around the area every nite around sunset. The cabin itself is so well appointed with modern amenities. Very nice and comfy furniture and beds. Beautiful kitchen!   Our little family and pooch enjoyed so much. Beautiful cabin, everything is brand new. Place is peaceful, there is access to the river. We had relaxing time in the front porch to see the sunset. Our dog loved the wrap around porch and felt free to observe nature. It's close to downtown Murphy. Highly recommend.
